About

# Exam preparation from someone who speaks the language natively.

Français Prep prepares candidates for the two French exams that IRCC accepts for Canadian permanent residence: the TCF Canada and the TEF Canada. Most candidates are not trying to become fluent. They are trying to reach a specific NCLC level, in four specific abilities, by a specific date. That is a narrower problem than learning French, and it rewards preparation aimed squarely at it. Our [preparation course for the TCF Canada](/tcf-canada-course) and [preparation course for the TEF Canada](/tef-canada-course) are built around that one target.

## Taught by Adèle Sason

Lessons are taught in French by a native speaker, with explanations available in English while you build up. Writing and speaking work is marked against the criteria examiners actually apply, because those two sections are where most candidates lose the level they need.

On the live tiers Adèle marks every writing and speaking task herself, by hand, and never with software. What comes back is the mark, the criterion that lost the points, and a rewritten version of your weakest paragraph. The criteria are the ones published in the exam boards’ own candidate manuals, not a grid we invented, and the [expression écrite](/tcf-canada/expression-ecrite) and [expression orale](/tcf-canada/expression-orale) pages set out what each one rewards.

One teacher, no marketplace and no agency. Adèle has no formal teaching qualification and the site claims none; what she has is the language as a native speaker and the exam read closely enough to say where marks go. Judge that from the [free question bank](/tcf-tef-sample-test) and the worked model answers before you pay for anything.

Français Prep is operated by KNIGHT SECURITY PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore. Write to [bonjour@francaisprep.com](mailto:bonjour@francaisprep.com) for anything about your account, a payment or a refund; the binding details are in the [terms](/terms).

## What we do not do

- \-We do not administer the exam or register you for it. You book the TCF Canada or TEF Canada directly with an approved test centre.
- \-We do not give immigration advice and cannot tell you whether you will qualify for permanent residence or how many CRS points you will receive. Those are questions for IRCC or a licensed immigration consultant.
- \-We do not promise a score. Preparation improves your odds; it cannot guarantee a result on the day.

Questions before you start? [Get in touch](/contact), or [book a consultation](/book).
