Sitting the TCF or TEF Canada in Vancouver
Strongly TCF-weighted demand on the wrong side of the country for Eastern-time classes, which makes scheduling the practical question here rather than which exam to sit.
- Pacific time, and what that means for live classes
- Online only, with no campus anywhere
- Centre lists left to the operators who maintain them
In short
Candidates in Vancouver search for the TCF Canada about 1.9 times as often as the TEF Canada. That is a local habit, not a rule, and it is worth knowing that you are not obliged to follow it. British Columbia candidates applying through federal Express Entry need a result IRCC reads against NCLC, which means the TCF Canada or the TEF Canada. Test centres are listed by the exam operators, and we deliberately do not republish those lists.

What Vancouver candidates actually sit
Across the search terms we track for this city, Vancouver produces roughly 3,880 exam-related searches a month, split 2,560 to the TCF and 1,320 to the TEF. Candidates in Vancouver search for the TCF Canada about 1.9 times as often as the TEF Canada. That is a local habit, not a rule, and it is worth knowing that you are not obliged to follow it.
Local habit usually reflects which centres run which sitting most often, rather than which exam suits a given candidate. If your listening is strong and your writing is weak, or the reverse, that matters more to your result than what your city tends to book. The comparison page works through the choice properly.
Why this page does not list centres
We do not publish a list of test centres. The exam operators run the official locators, those lists change, and a wrong address for a paid exam costs a candidate real money. Use the operator's own finder for the current centres near you, then come back and work out the preparation.
For the TCF Canada, the approved list is maintained by France Éducation International. For the TEF Canada, the operator runs its own finder at Le français des affaires. Book the seat first if dates are tight in Vancouver, then build the study plan around the date you actually hold.
Live classes from Pacific time
You are 3 hours behind Eastern time, so an evening class quoted in Toronto hours lands in your late afternoon.
This is the one genuinely local thing about preparing with us. The teaching is identical wherever you are, but a weekly live class has to land at an hour you will actually attend, week after week, for the length of a block. If the timezone makes that unrealistic, the self-paced tier exists and nobody will pretend otherwise on the call.

Preparation built around the exam you are actually sitting
Four things every tier includes, whether you study on your own or work with Adèle every week.
A native French teacher marks your work
Adèle reads every writing task and listens to every recording, then tells you which specific mistakes are costing you the most points.
Timed practice in the real exam format
You practise each section under the clock, in the order and the length you will meet on test day, so the paper itself is never the surprise.
Every result mapped to an NCLC level
Practice results are converted to NCLC levels using the published conversion tables, so you always know how far you are from the level your profile needs.
Study from anywhere, in your timezone
Lessons run online for candidates in Morocco, Algeria, Cameroon, Senegal, France and Canada. If you cannot attend live, the recording and the correction still reach you.
