Every figure on this page comes from IRCC's rounds data, read on [14 October 2026](https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/documents/json/ee_rounds_123_en.json). IRCC's own page is the authority, so check the [official rounds page](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html) before acting on it.

## What this round means if you need NCLC 7

According to [IRCC's category-based selection page](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/submit-profile/rounds-invitations/category-based-selection.html), this category only considers candidates whose test results show at least [NCLC 7](/nclc-7) in listening, reading, speaking and writing. One ability below NCLC 7 closes the category whatever your CRS score, so the weakest of the four is the one to work on. With that level, a profile below 400 points was not invited in this round. A cut-off is a fact about one past round, not a forecast: the next one depends on how many invitations IRCC issues and who is in the pool on the day.
