TCF and TEF Canada

## How avoir shows up in the TCF and TEF

Avoir is the auxiliary of most passé composé forms, so a wrong form of avoir breaks every past-tense sentence in your writing task. Its subjunctive (que j'aie) is a common slip in formal letters.

- J'ai deux enfants et un chien. _I have two children and a dog._
- Nous avons eu beaucoup de chance avec ce logement. _We were very lucky with this apartment._

## From conjugation tables to an exam score
