## How écrire shows up in the TCF and TEF

Écrire adds a v in the plural (nous écrivons) and has the past participle écrit. You will need it in the writing section, for example « je vous écris pour… ».

-   Je vous écris au sujet de l'annonce parue hier. _I am writing to you about the ad published yesterday._
-   Elle a écrit une lettre de motivation. _She wrote a cover letter._
