Questions ## French lessons in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield: questions ### Can I take live French lessons from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield? Yes. Every lesson runs live online, so Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, a city of about 43,000 people in Quebec, is as close to the classroom as anywhere else. Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is on Eastern time, the same clock our class slots are quoted in. Class times are agreed on the free placement call rather than published, because they depend on your schedule. ### How much do French lessons cost in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield? The same as everywhere: the weekly plan is CA$9.99 a week and can be cancelled any time, a small live group is CA$449 for 8 weeks, and one-to-one tutoring with Adèle is CA$800 for 10 sessions of 60 minutes. Prices are charged in Canadian dollars. ### Where is the nearest TCF Canada test centre to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield? On France Éducation International's list as of 14 October 2026, the closest is Kuper Academy in Kirkland, about 30 km from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, followed by Complexe X in Saint-Constant, about 50 km away. Distances are straight-line. Confirm dates and fees with the centre before you pay, and check TEF Canada centres on the operator's own finder. ### Does Quebec's immigration system change what I need in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield? It might. Quebec selects its own economic immigrants and reads French on its own scale, while federal Express Entry reads the TCF Canada or TEF Canada against NCLC levels. Living in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield does not put you on the Quebec route by itself. Settle which system your application goes through before you book an exam, and while it is undecided, the TCF Canada or TEF Canada keeps both doors open. ### What score do I need for NCLC 7? NCLC 7 is the level most Express Entry candidates aim for, because it is where French starts earning meaningful additional points, and you need it in all four abilities. On the TCF Canada the minimums are 458 in listening, 453 in reading and 10 out of 20 in writing and speaking. On the TEF Canada, read on the ancien score columns Express Entry uses, they are 249 in listening, 207 in reading and 310 in writing and speaking. Full tables: https://francaisprep.com/tcf-canada/score-chart and https://francaisprep.com/tef-canada/score-chart. ### How many Express Entry points is French worth? Reaching NCLC 7 in all four French abilities adds 25 CRS points, or 50 if your English is also at CLB 5 or higher, which is why French is worth adding even for candidates whose English is strong. ### Is there a free way to start? Yes. The 15-minute call with Adèle is free, and so are the score calculator and level test on the site. The full TCF and TEF Canada practice platform is CA$9.99 a week, cancel any time. ### Do you teach in person in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield? No. Français Prep is online only, with no office or classroom in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield or anywhere else. If you specifically want a physical classroom, a local language school is the better choice, and we would rather say so than let a city page imply otherwise.
