That is what the branch's own page said when we checked on 30 September 2026. You register with the branch and pay the branch, and the date you can actually get is usually the constraint, not the preparation. Confirm you are booking the Canada version of the exam: a general sitting does not convert to the levels Express Entry reads. The branch ## What Alliance Française de Delhi says These points come from the branch's [own exam page](https://afdelhi.org/tcf-canada-exam-schedule-2026/), checked on 30 September 2026: - The branch says it conducts only the TCF Canada. - The exam is taken on a computer. - You must bring your original, valid passport on the day. - The branch warns that seats often fill within minutes of registration opening, and that a full session puts you on a waiting list. The capital is where most candidates start looking, and the place where the first surprise lands: the branch people assume runs everything runs one exam, and its seats go in minutes. We name these two branches only because each one publishes its own exam page, and we report what that page said when we read it. The exam operators hold the official lists of approved centres, those lists and the branches' own terms change, and a wrong date or address for a paid exam costs a candidate real money. Booking ## Getting a seat in Delhi The approved list for the TCF Canada is kept by [France Éducation International](https://www.france-education-international.fr/), and the branch publishes its own dates and registration steps. Get on its list before you plan your study, then count backwards from the date your application needs a result. Nobody legitimate can move you up a queue, and we never book or resell a seat. If Delhi cannot give you a date in time, you have two ways out. Look at another city in India, starting from the [India guide](/india). Or look at the TEF Canada, whose approved centres are listed by [Le français des affaires](https://www.lefrancaisdesaffaires.fr/). Both exams are accepted and both convert to the same NCLC levels, so switching costs you nothing with the immigration authorities. Fees ## What it costs in Delhi The fee is set by each centre, charged in rupees, and revised from time to time, so we do not print a figure that would be out of date somewhere. Preparation, travel and a second attempt are separate, and a second attempt means paying the full fee again, which is the strongest argument for sitting the exam once, prepared. India is nine and a half hours ahead of Eastern time in the Canadian summer and ten and a half in winter. An evening class in Montréal or Toronto lands in the early hours of the next morning in India, while a Canadian morning class falls in your evening. Français Prep is online only.
