## Is my score above the latest cut-off?

Your CRS score

A whole number from 0 to 1200, as shown in your Express Entry profile.

This compares two numbers and nothing else. It is not immigration advice, and IRCC also applies a tie-breaking rule and category eligibility that a score alone cannot show.

## Cut-off trend over the last 12 months

13 French-language rounds in the last twelve months, oldest on the left. Each point is the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited in that round.

## What the French draw requires

A French-language proficiency round only considers candidates whose test results show at least NCLC 7 in all four abilities: listening, reading, speaking and writing. The weakest of the four decides it, so turn your practice results into levels with the [score converter](/tools/score-converter) and read what each level means on the [NCLC 7 page](/nclc-7).

## The cut-off is not the whole story

French also adds CRS points of its own, which can move your score past a cut-off you are just under. Work out that block with the [French CRS points calculator](/tools/french-crs-points), and see how a TCF or TEF result becomes points on the [French Express Entry points guide](/french-express-entry-points).

Questions

## About the express entry french draw tracker

### What was the CRS cut-off in the latest French Express Entry draw?

The latest French-language proficiency round was round #437 on 19 August 2026, with 5,000 invitations and a CRS cut-off of 382. The cut-off is the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate IRCC invited in that round, and it changes from one round to the next.

### What are the requirements for an Express Entry French draw?

IRCC's category-based selection page says candidates in the French-language proficiency category need test results showing a minimum of NCLC 7 in all four language abilities, and must meet the requirements in the instructions for that round. One ability at NCLC 6 is enough to be left out. Read the instructions IRCC publishes with each round before relying on any summary, including this one.

### When is the next French draw?

IRCC does not publish dates for future rounds. Its category-based selection page says it announces the chosen categories in advance and may not need a category-based round if there are enough top-ranking candidates. This page re-reads IRCC's rounds data every few hours, so a new round appears here soon after IRCC publishes it.

### Is my CRS score high enough for a French draw?

Nobody can tell you that in advance, including us. The check on this page compares your score with the cut-off of the last French-language round, which is a fact about the past. Future cut-offs depend on how many invitations IRCC issues and who is in the pool on the day, and they have moved by dozens of points between rounds.

### Where does this data come from?

From IRCC's own Express Entry rounds data, the file that feeds the official rounds page on canada.ca (https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/documents/json/ee\_rounds\_123\_en.json). We keep only the rounds IRCC labels as French-language proficiency rounds, and if that file cannot be read we show the rounds as we last read them, with that date.

### Does Français Prep give immigration advice?

No. We prepare candidates for the TCF Canada and TEF Canada, which are language tests. We are not regulated immigration consultants, we do not assess eligibility and we do not file applications. For a decision about your file, speak to a regulated consultant or a lawyer.
